David & Lila are Back!

David and Lila are back in Casper and hard at work at Urban Thistle Farm.

These amazing young professionals were part of the 2024-2025 Americorp NCCC Teams. They served two thirds of their 1-year term when unexpectedly, Doge cut the Americorp funding, and they found themselves unemployed.

Equally shocking, Urban Thistle Farm was expecting a full NCCC team of 10, to build infrastructure at the Farm, when they received the news that there would be no team.

After some creative collaboration at Casper Housing Authority, a local funding source was found, and Green Bean 1 was born. Ten former Americorp Team members spent their Spring and Summer laying a 100-year foundation at Urban Thistle Farm.

After their term of service at Urban Thistle Farm and a short break with family and friends, David and Lila find themselves back in Casper and have returned to the Farm that stole their hearts.

Through an internship at Casper Housing Authority, David and Lila will spend the winter months expanding the farm and preparing the market space.
