I'm a translator looking to pick up small jobs on the side. Tried Upwork but never got a single reply even after buying connects. Fiverr feels like a race to the bottom with people charging pennies. A friend told me to skip the big names and try smaller directories instead. Has anyone here actually found consistent work on any platform as a beginner without wasting money on proposals?
